Carol found that perfect fit in Huntington's personalized approach to every student's needs. Together with her team, Carol has helped hundreds of Polk County students and welcomes the opportunity to help many more no matter what changes the future may bring.

It is simple- DO IT! My family's personal experience with this Huntington Center has been laced with nothing but support and success. Back in January, I had a struggling kindergartener on my hands. My son was clearly behind the bar. His biggest struggle was reading although he lacked some in math as well. Being a teacher myself, I realized how unbelievably important it is that children begin with a strong educational foundation. I immediately called Huntington because of their reputation. Before I knew it, they had my son tested and ready to start.
A long road lay ahead of us. Although there was a light way at the end of the tunnel, there was much uncertainty about whether or not it would be reached in time for my son to pass kindergarten. Time passed and my son gained confidence. He began writing sentences on his own. He began reading books and decoding words he did not know. It was miraculous! Here was a boy that started his program not able to recognize his entire alphabet, now able to read! If you are a data driven person look at it this way... my son's beginning of the year FAIR test results were at 20%. His middle of the year results were at 15%. His final end of the year FAIR results... A 91%!!!! Huntington and my son did that!
Now here we are at the end of the year and my son has passed kindergarten!!! He is confident and excited about school now. Because of the support of this AMAZING staff at Huntington, he feels as if he has the ability to learn ANYTHING. I owe everything to them. They go far and beyond any job description given to them. I mentioned to them that my son was not recognized at the end of the year awards ceremony and what did they do? They created an awards ceremony just for him to recognize his hard work. They care, simple as that!
I cannot say enough good things about Huntington Learning Center and its staff. The investment that we made with them was worth a million times more than the money we put in. They changed my son's life forever and for that we will always be grateful!
